Governor Christie Loses More Credibility.  The governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie once again showed his disdain for marijuana legalization Tuesday.  He spoke out against the plant at a town-hall meeting at the Salt Hill Pub in Newport, New Hampshire.  He singled out Colorado in his speech by saying, “if you’re getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it.”

The 2016 presidential run will be short lived for Christie if he keeps up this type of rhetoric.  With marijuana legal or decriminalized in half of the United States, and more states lining up to legalize, the governor seems to prefer taking our country back in time instead of being progressive about the issues that need to be addressed.  He has no education on the topic of marijuana, but continues to lean on the weakened crutch of marijuana being a, “Gateway” drug that has no medicinal purpose.  A draconian way of thinking.

Christie also showed his disdain by promising to enforce all federal laws that pertain to marijuana.  He said in his Tuesday speech, “As of January 2017, I will enforce the federal laws.”

Governor Christie has some nerve speaking at a bar, telling us that he believes marijuana alters the brain.  You are at a Pub where alcohol is served speaking about marijuana being a “Gateway” drug?  I am confused governor.  Just one question governor?  How many people have died from alcohol?  How many people have died from marijuana?  I guess that was two questions.

If the governor thinks he is increasing in popularity he is sorrily mistaken.  I believe he is just exposing himself further to a majority of voters that want no part of his nonsense, in any form of government.

In other words, he is more of the same problem, and by no means part of the solution.
